Refund Policy

Honest, simple rules so we both know where we stand before any money changes hands.

Last updated: June 20, 2026

The short version

  • Full refund if you cancel before work begins.
  • 🟡 Partial refund if the work is incomplete.
  • No refund once the service is fully delivered.

Before work begins — full refund

If you change your mind and cancel before development starts, you get a 100% refund of any deposit you've paid. Just email me and I'll process it within 7 business days.

Work in progress — partial refund

If a project is cancelled or cannot be completed in the middle of development, a fair partial refund is issued based on what was delivered vs. what remained.

The portion that's already been built, tested, or handed over is not refundable, but any unspent balance for incomplete work is returned.

Completed services — no refund

Once the agreed deliverable is built, tested, and handed off to your server / infrastructure, the engagement is complete and no refunds are issued. The work, time, and AI / API costs are already spent on your project at that point.

Third-party costs are non-refundable

Any money spent on third-party services on your behalf — hosting credits (DigitalOcean, etc.), API usage (Gemini, Twilio, OpenAI), paid subscriptions, domain names — is non-refundable, because that money has already gone to those providers.

How to request a refund

Send an email to hello@rahulparathy.com with:

  • Your project name or invoice reference
  • The reason for the refund request
  • Any supporting context

I'll respond within 7 business days. Approved refunds are processed back to the original payment method.

Disputes

If we disagree on a refund, let's try to resolve it in good faith first. If we can't, the laws of Sri Lanka govern the dispute and Sri Lankan courts have jurisdiction. See the Terms of Service for the full legal framing.
